Why mobility changes the project
When a mine needs first power before the grid arrives, when a utility must stabilise a failing network, or when an industrial site needs megawatts that can later relocate, fixed plant alone is not enough. Mobile and relocatable gas turbine generators close the gap between urgency and permanence.
USP&E packages trailer-mounted and modular aeroderivative turbines so you can mobilise, commission, and — when the plan changes — redeploy. The same engineering team that sources the unit designs the balance of plant, runs commissioning, and stays for operations and maintenance. That is Extreme Ownership applied to power that moves.
We are not a broker dropping equipment at the fence line. We are a lifecycle partner: assets, EPC/EPCM, and O&M under one roof — Powering Projects, protecting Reliability, and unlocking Possibility.
What “mobile” means on this site
- Trailer-mountable packages — factory-tested modules designed for road, sea, and air logistics.
- Rapid-deploy bridge power — interim megawatts while permanent plant is built or refurbished.
- Relocatable industrial blocks — peaking, remote mines, oil & gas pads, and islanded campuses that may move with the asset life.
- Modular growth — add units as load grows instead of waiting on a single oversized build.
- Dual-fuel flexibility — natural gas and liquid-fuel options where site fuel strategy demands it.
Live availability lives only on USP&E Global. Use SEARCH INVENTORY for current mobile and industrial turbines, reciprocating stations, and surplus packages — 3,000+ MW of new and surplus gas turbines and recip power across the portfolio.
From first call to first fire
Speed with Excellence is not a slogan; it is how mobile projects succeed. USP&E compresses mobilisation by pairing owned and exclusively represented inventory with parallel engineering: civil pads, fuel trains, switchgear, and grid or island controls advance while the unit is in transit.
Typical mobile programmes include site walk-down, foundation and trailer berth design, fuel and emissions compliance review, synchronisation and protection settings, commissioning procedures, operator training, and SmartPower monitoring where the plant stays under O&M. Whether the engagement is short-term rental-style bridge power or a multi-year relocatable plant, commissioning quality does not change.

FX-45 modular path for hyperscale (slots from 2028)
For pipeline-gas campuses that need a new modular architecture — not only trailer aero units — USP&E positions the FX-45: a new modular 45 MW-class gas turbine offering in 50 Hz and 60 Hz, with hyperscale delivery slots from 2028. Details stay on the dedicated page; we do not invent performance numbers here.

Where mobile turbines win
Utilities and grid bridging
National and regional grids facing import constraints, fuel interruptions, or delayed permanent plant use trailer-mounted turbines to restore megawatts in weeks, not years. USP&E has mobilised mobile aero packages for utility crises and then transitioned those same assets into structured O&M — because reliability after day one matters as much as the first synchronisation.
Mining and remote industry
Off-grid and weak-grid mines need firm power for crushers, mills, and camps. Relocatable turbines and hybrid thermal plants follow the mine plan: start fast, run hard, and move or reconfigure when the pit or plant shifts.
Oil & gas and temporary industrial pads
Exploration, early production facilities, and construction camps benefit from packages that can be demobilised cleanly. Trailerised turbines reduce stranded civil works and keep CapEx aligned with the field’s life.
Peaking and seasonal load
Where load spikes are seasonal or event-driven, mobile blocks can be staged, fired, and later redeployed — a practical alternative to overbuilding permanent peaking plant.
400+ engineers and project managers — globally positioned
Mobile projects fail when logistics and field engineering are an afterthought. USP&E fields 400+ engineers and project managers across Shanghai, Dubai, Cape Town, Johannesburg, Cairo, Bamako, London, USP&E, and Knoxville. Local teams plan berths, fuel logistics, and commissioning sequences with the same Extreme Ownership we apply to permanent stations.
Since 2002, USP&E has built 150+ power stations and supplied 25 000 MW across 45+ countries. ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 frame how we engineer and operate. We work under FCPA and OFAC compliance discipline — and across more than two decades of client and partner relationships, USP&E has never faced a lawsuit from a client or partner. Entrepreneurial speed. Engineering credibility. Speed with Excellence. Extreme Ownership.
Inventory is the accelerant
OEM new-build queues often stretch 18–24 months. Mobile projects rarely have that luxury. USP&E’s inventory model — new, low-hour, and surplus turbines plus reciprocating stations across a 3,000+ MW live inventory — lets projects start from real iron, not a brochure promise.

Mobile gas turbine FAQ
How fast can a mobile gas turbine be commissioned?
Timelines depend on site readiness, fuel, and interconnection. With prepared pads and available inventory, USP&E structures mobile programmes measured in weeks to a few months — not multi-year OEM queues. Exact schedules are engineered per site.
Are trailer-mounted turbines only for temporary use?
No. Many clients run trailer packages as multi-year bridge or even permanent blocks, then relocate when the business case changes. Mobility is an option, not a requirement to leave.
Does USP&E operate the plant after mobilisation?
Yes. EPC/EPCM and O&M sit on the same team. Bridge rentals frequently convert into long-term O&M with SmartPower monitoring and UpKeep maintenance management.
Where do I see units for sale or surplus?
Only on https://www.uspeglobal.com/inventory/. Use SEARCH INVENTORY on every page of this site.
